Pleasantly Suprised

We chose the Maxim as we wanted a modestly priced hotel in a central location. We were very pleasantly surprised that the Maxim turned out to be better than we had expected. Location is excellent within walking distance of Ben Yehuda, Dizengoff etc and opposite the beach. The hotel was clean and smart, our room overlooked the seafront (though the window was small!)and was more than adequate. The breakfast was great and the afternoon tea and cake a nice touch. It may have lacked a pool and the plush appearance of a 4 or 5 star hotel but we preferred the atmosphere at the Maxim. On the negative side it was very noisy (traffic and night life outside) due to its location but this would be the same for any hotel in this position in Tel Aviv.
